Welcome to 7th and 8th Grade
Our Christmas class video! Enjoy!
Meet Our Principal, Mr. Michael Paulsen
My name is Michael (or Mike) Paulsen, and I have the privilege to be your 7th-8th grade teacher as well as serve as the school Principal.
I grew up in Oconomowoc, WI. I attended Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, WI and met my future wife there before graduating in 2012. I then attended Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, where I played basketball (the best sport in my opinion) all four years and graduated in May 2016.
I was lucky enough to marry Kinzie Paulsen, our Kindergarten teacher, in July 2015. We are excited about being part of the ministry here at St. Paul’s Lutheran!
Meet Our Admin Release Teacher, Mrs. Laura Cook
My name is Laura Cook and I have unique opportunity to be the admin release teacher for 7th-8th grade. I also teach a variety of classes to 3rd-4th grade and 5th-6th grade. I grew up in a very small town called Brownsville, WI, where my father serves as Pastor at the church there. I attended Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac, WI and graduated from there in 2007. I then went to Martin Luther College, in New Ulm, MN, where I met my husband freshman year. I played softball while there and was involved in choir and some drama productions. I graduated in 2012 with a degree in elementary and secondary education.
I married Pastor Kendall Cook in July 2012 and we moved to Cedarburg, WI for his second year at the seminary. We then moved to College Station, TX for his vicar year and served at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church there. We moved back to Milwaukee for his last year of school and in May 2015, he was assigned to serve at Shepherd of Peace, Norfolk, NE. Shortly after moving, we welcomed our first child, Logan and just welcomed our second child, Tristan in January 2017. I have been so blessed to be able to be part of the ministry here at St. Paul’s!
