WHERE YOU GREW UP: Winona, MN

PAST TEACHING EXPERIENCE: I served as the director and teacher at St. Thomas Lutheran Preschool in Goodyear, AZ for four years before moving with my husband to Norfolk.  I then worked as a substitute teacher in the Norfolk Public Schools for one year, after which I became a stay-at-home mom.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT YOUR NEW JOB THAT APPEALS TO YOU?: I am excited to work alongside parents to teach their children, leading them to grow not only socially, academically, and physically, but most importantly spiritually.  What a wonderful blessing to be able to share the love of God with His Little Lambs!

WHY DO YOU LIKE TEACHING?: I have always had a passion for working with children.  Teaching allows me to do just that.  As an early childhood educator, I enjoy getting to know each child individually, and using that knowledge to make learning fun and meaningful as the children learn through their play.

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR THE COMING SCHOOL YEAR?: My goals are to instill my students with a love of learning, a love for one another, and a love for their Lord!

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO STUDENTS IN YOUR CLASSROOM?: Praise God by showing love to one another and always doing your best!

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE THE PARENTS OF YOUR STUDENTS TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?: I know it’s not always easy being away from your children while they are young, but I promise to love them as though they are my own.  I am looking forward to working with you and your children this coming year!
